OnX Maps, Engineering Manager II

OnX serves outdoor adventures to help plan, guide, and navigate. During my time there, I ran a group of 10+ web, iOS, and Android engineers on our Markups and Core Services team. Was responsible for stabilizing a continuously failing service in time for peak use. I also managed our internship program, and developed an interview training program deployed to our entire engineering organization.
February 2020 – June 2022

Hopin, Frontend Engineering Lead

Was hired as a founding engineer to build our flagship Virtual Event product. Help design and scale the application to serve millions of users and hundreds of thousands of events. Served as the engineer on call and point person for Tech Crunch Disrupt event in 2020. Managed and actively wrote code for 3 greenfield projects/teams (6-8 engineers per team), including our Virtual Event, Registration, and Community products. At the end of my tenure at Hopin, I was working directly with our CEO on an experimental project.

Weedmaps, Frontend Engineer III

At Weedmaps, I worked on the frontend of the WMRetail software - a full service POS system to allow dispensaries to manage and sell product. Primary projects included a large migration on the frontend from a legacy Meteor monolith, to standalone React/TypeScript frontend.

Rare Art Labs, Frontend Engineer

Startup that enables users to discover, collect & display limited-edition digital art. Artwork certificate of authenticity is tracked on the Ethereum blockchain. Was responsible for developing the frontend application for store front, uploading artwork, and account management.

Stab Magazine, Frontend Developer (ongoing contract)

Stab is an online surf publication visited by half a million people per month. I ran the entire web platform, designed and made changes as needed. Primarily spent most of my time building partnership campaign microsites for companies like Vans, Quiksilver, Volcom, and Redbull.

Mobelux is an award winning design agency in Richmond, Virginia. As a Frontend Engineer, I worked on an array of projects from small mom-and-pop ecommerce sites, to large enterprise clients like Ford, and Elephant Auto Insurance.

A small design agency in Richmond, Virginia. Most notable projects included rebuilding the Internet Society's journal website, as well as Health Warrior bars.

International Roll-Call, Applications Engineer

Worked on the vote reporting application used by New Mexico, Oregon, and Ohio House of Representatives. I also designed and built out a committee meeting room booking software for New Hampshire.
